TuneVpn Privacy Policy
Effective 25 October 2026
TuneVpn is a VPN app for Android made by Tunebrains. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and what you can do about it. In short: we don't run ads, we don't sell data, the app sends no analytics, and Tunebrains never sees your internet traffic.
Who we are
TUNEBRAINS Sp. z o.o., ul. Św. Mikołaja 8/11, 50-125 Wrocław, Poland (KRS 0000615914), is the controller of personal data handled through TuneVpn. Contact: support@tunebrains.com.
How the VPN works
TuneVpn connects your phone to VPN servers run by our VPN infrastructure provider, which operates them for us. When the VPN is on, your traffic is encrypted between your phone and the VPN server and leaves the internet from there. Tunebrains has no servers in this path and can't see the sites you visit or the content of your traffic.
What is sent to provide the VPN
To give you a connection, the app signs in to our VPN infrastructure anonymously. You don't create an account, and we never ask for your name, email or phone number. The sign-in gives your app a numeric ID, which you can see in the app under About (the ⓘ button). The following is sent to our VPN infrastructure provider:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| A device identifier (Android's ID for this app on your phone) | To recognise your device for the anonymous sign-in, and to apply the free limits fairly |
| Device model, app version, your phone's country, language and time zone, and the country and operator codes of your mobile network | To make the service work on your device and pick suitable servers |
| Your IP address | Any VPN connection reveals it to the server; it is used to pick the nearest server |
| The location and protocol you choose, and the amount of traffic you use | To connect you, and to count the 500 MB daily traffic limit |
Our VPN infrastructure provider processes this data only on our behalf and on our instructions, to provide the VPN service, under a data processing agreement and its own security measures. It doesn't use the data for its own purposes. No record is kept of the websites you visit or the apps you use through the VPN, and nothing links your traffic to you. The data above is kept only as long as needed to provide the service, for example the traffic count for the current day, and to prevent abuse.
What stays on your phone
Your chosen location and protocol, and today's count of free connection time, are stored only on your phone. They are never sent anywhere and are deleted when you uninstall the app.
What we don't do
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics: the VPN software's analytics are switched off in TuneVpn.
- No crash reporting services.
- We don't sell or rent data, and we don't share it with anyone for their own purposes.
- The app doesn't ask for your location, contacts, photos or files.
Legal basis
We process the data above because it's needed to provide the VPN service you ask for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and to prevent abuse of the free service, which is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Transfers outside the EEA
Our VPN infrastructure provider processes data in the United States, and VPN servers are located in many countries; the server you connect to is in the country you choose. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, it is protected by the safeguards the GDPR requires: the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, or the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, a copy of it, or object to its processing. Write to support@tunebrains.com and include your ID from the app's About screen, so we can find your data; the "Request data deletion" button there writes the email for you. We answer within one month. Once your data is deleted, the app signs in again with a new ID the next time you use it. Uninstalling the app removes everything stored on your phone. You can also complain to the Polish data protection authority, Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych (uodo.gov.pl), or to the authority where you live.
Children
TuneVpn is meant for adults and isn't directed at children.
Changes
If the app starts handling data differently, for example when Premium subscriptions arrive, we'll update this policy and the date at the top before the change reaches you.
